Smashing Love

I'm sorry it took forever to color this, guys...I kinda lost my motivation in coloring this and abandoned it for months. Plus I'm not really into coloring honestly. I just had a sudden urge to color this again a couple of days ago. And look, now it's done.


Now that I think about it, this art is WAAAAY overdue. I drew a sketch of this more than 3 years ago. 3 years.
No, no, it's not what you think. I'm not THAT slow. It's just that I didn't color it until a friend introduced me to Photoshop in 2004. I also redid the colors when it's almost done because I wasn't happy with the result (I was a Photoshop noob and still am lol). So yeah...

-500+ hours in Photoshop (I didn't do anything 70% of the time haha)
-Wacom tablet
-used reference for minor character details, but used lots of references to get the sky and lighting right
-removed the redead 'cuz Bowser's arm is cooler

I worked hard on the background, but I gotta admit, it's still crappy. And something is wrong with the lighting too. I need art lessons.

Man, I can't wait for the sequel :]
